What Cellular Options do We Have?
If you need connectivity - our hardware can use our SIM or one from your city. We work with all major US carriers - including FirstNet when using our services for first responders.
Is Cellular Secure?
Yes - we utilize a private VPN with a direct connection to our cloud. No traffic information will touch the public internet and firewalls only allow access to approved IPs.
Is It Redundant?
Yes - ThruGreen devices have the ability to run two SIMs and can change towers or providers in the event of an outage.
How Does ThruGreen Work?
Once connectivity is established to an intersection, we monitor it's live status and improve traffic through a series of adjustments and requests. Some of these include:
Fixed Schedule Adjustments
Modifications made to the fixed timing plans run at your intersections.
Real-Time Signal Adjustments
Extensions, reductions and modification of phase orders in real-time to accommodate traffic
Priority Requests
Requests made to modify a light on behalf of approved vehicle such as a bus or first responder
Virtual Detection
Requests made to an intersection on behalf of a vehicle before it arrives to help the light act smarter
Does the City Control These Policies?
Yes - every request or adjustment made to a traffic light is made in accordance with rules and polices set by approved government users. ThruGreen does not modify anything without your approval and sign-off.
Is This Auditable?
Yes - every request or adjustment placed to your city's traffic controllers is logged in real-time and made available for your stakeholders to review and audit.
